We used to keep a running list of bad forums, but honestly, the number because so staggering that we simply couldn't keep up. Finding a bad TOPIX FORUM with slander, racism, antisemitism cyberbullying or harassment is easy. So this page has not been well organized or updated. Feel free to click around for a few examples, but know that we only update this once a month at most because we want to spend our time on the information that you really need.
Topix sex forums get raunchier than ever, even including an ad for XXX MATCH.COM. There is no warning before entering Topix by the way. Children can click through just like its a story about the weather.
Or how about this one:
We WILL promise you that every one of these links was once valid.

I have received so many examples of bad Topix forums that I cannot honestly create an organized page with them all (so I created a disorganized one).
Finding negative material on Topix is easy. So, these are just a few random examples for those visitors who really don´t know yet. Lets begin with Wynne, Arkansas, a very small town of about 10,000 people west of Memphis. It is completely unnoteable a town except that the town website, automatically created by TOPIX for Wynne has become one of the most popular TOPIX sites on the web.
Now lets try Massena, NY another TOPIX website full of nothing but garbage.
There are comments on the Wynn forum bashing local police, describing the sexual habits and private body parts of local teenagers. Topix slickly displays all of the data as if the local newspaper were hosting the forum and were flagging the really good posts. Yet everything posted here has been hosted automatically by TOPIX software and nobody is monitoring or holding TOPIX responsible for monitoring what is said, or more importantly for taking it down at some point. And while it seems fair that people should say what they wish, GOOGLE seems to treat comments in the Wynn topix forum as if they are more important than what is legitimately reported by the local paper, the East Arkansas News Leader.
So, lets say that someone is mad at a local resident of Naperville, IL for stepping on their rose garden. They could simply go to the TOPIX website, write a story about that neighbor having an affair, and a google search for that persons name in Naperville, IL will almost always bring up anything posted in Topix about that person. This could mean that local school kids will find the article and taunt a child about their father having an affair and before you know it, that person is shunned in the community for doing absolutely nothing (other than stepping on roses!). Now lets suppose that he goes and buys new roses for the disgruntled neighbor and everyone is happy once again. It doesn't matter. Topix still wont remove the post. There is litterally no way for that person to have the fabricated affair removed from the topix website and the google searches, basically forever.
Imagine the damage that could be done to a local teacher if a student were mad at them and decided to write something defamatory about them on the local TOPIX forum. That teacher, coach, parent or resident's reputation would be ruined in that town and the only one who would profit from that lie would be TOPIX, who might show an advertisement to a local reader as they are reading and having to consider the post. And that damage has been done, over and over again, all over America. People have lost jobs, positions and livelihoods over topix posts and nobody takes responsibility.
TOPIX even tried charging people (if you can believe the audacity) to 'expedite review' of posts. That meant that if someone said something that TOPIX might just take down if it were brought to their attention you had to pay TOPIX extra money to take a look at the problem quickly. Paying didn't mean success mind you, it just meant that TOPIX would bump you up in the list. In fact, TOPIX employees could go out and write nasty things about people just so that those people would pay to have TOPIX review the post! And charging the abusive poster is no better than making black people pay to jail a white man who killed a black man. Ethical? I don't think so. And neither did attorney generals in multiple states. Here are but a few links to stories of increasing attention to TOPIX by state authorities:
Creating a worst of TOPIX page is impossible because there are so many disgusting, defatory, abusive, hurtful and sexually explicit forums on TOPIX, you can find one in almost every town. I did a screenshot of one forum but I will do more, though you really don't need my help to find the smut in your town. And perhaps if you are here, you have already seen it.
This is the COLE SPROUSE FORUM. Cole is a teenage boy who works for Disney (he is Cody, of the Suite LIfe, who every tween parent knows about for sure). He is a clean cut kid who Disney portrays as the boy next door who most moms would feel great about their daughter dating. Here is his forum on TOPIX:
Here are a few more forums that I have been emailed about recently in these cases I have not actually posted the LINKS because doing so just helps google to give the forum higher rank. To view these, you can simply to the top of the TOPIX page and click CHANGE LOCATION. Then enter the city.:
And here are a few direct links. Warning, some of these comment forums on TOPIX are highly offensive:
All of their forums contain sexual trash, comments about infidelity and who has illegitimate children. There is no way to verify these truths and this information is just not something that should be placed on a public forum, especially given that TOPIX will never archive it. This means that (if we don't put a stop to this) that children born to these people will someday find their parents infidelity plastered on a topix forum.
Understand that I completely uphold someone's right to view legal pornographic or explicit material on the internet that has been provided by someone who has agreed to expose themself for whatever reason. We are not talking about viewing porn stars or amateur sex tapes that someone has agreed to post. We are talking about information about people who have not given consent and information that is not verified in any way.
And consider that we are talking about a company who has investments from Tribune, Gannett and McClatchy. These are the companies who we trust to know what is going on in our world in a sensitive, responsible and accurate way yet they are partnered with a company which hosts gigabytes worth of defamation and other trash. Do you really think that those executives would want things posted about THEIR CHILDREN on this page?
